About Image Compressor
The Image Compressor reduces the file size of your photos so your web pages load faster. Smaller images save bandwidth, improve mobile experience and help your site perform better in search, all without a visible drop in quality for most pictures.
How to use it: click Choose File and select a JPG or PNG image from your device. Move the quality slider, where around 70 is a good balance, and the tool shows the size before, the size after and the percentage saved. Click Download to save the compressed image. Try a lower quality for a smaller file, or a higher one for sharper detail.
Tips: resize very large photos to the width you actually need before uploading, because a 4000 pixel photo is rarely needed on a blog page. The compression happens entirely in your browser, so your pictures are never uploaded to any server. The result is saved as a JPG file, so transparent backgrounds will become white.
